Joseph J. Stellute, a native of Hampton, Virginia, received a Bachelor of Arts from the College of William and Mary in 1968 and then a Juris Doctor from the University of Memphis in 1972. He was admitted to the Virginia State Bar in 1973.
From 1973 to 1975, Mr. Stellute served as Assistant City Attorney in Hampton, Virginia. In 1975, he entered into private practice as a personal injury and criminal defense attorney. Mr. Stellute served as President of the Hampton Bar Association in 1996.

Selena Stellute Glenn was born and raised in Hampton, Virginia. She received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Virginia and her Juris Doctor from Loyola University New Orleans School of Law.
