Romeo G. Lumaban, Jr.
Romeo G. Lumaban, Jr. graduated from Virginia Tech in 1992 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. He received his Juris Doctor in 1995 from the Widener University School of Law and returned to Virginia to continue his legal career.
Mr. Lumaban began his career as an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney in Hampton where he prosecuted all types of felony, misdemeanor and traffic charges. In 2002, he was promoted to Deputy Commonwealth’s Attorney and led the Juvenile & Domestic Relations District Court trial team. In addition to his supervisory responsibilities, he was primarily tasked with prosecuting child physical and sexual abuse cases.
After twelve years of being a prosecutor, Mr. Lumaban joined the Smith Law firm in 2008. This move to private practice enabled him to represent clients in both criminal and civil cases all over the Tidewater area.
