“The Game has Four Quarters” |

5th Quarter is an interactive mentoring program centered on the theme of a selected sport. The importance of mentoring between caring professionals and young people in our society is left in many cases without a true measure of the total impact that this valuable service provides. 5th Quarter creates a type of mentoring for a purpose scenario where students are not just forming relationships, but are provided specific lessons on character and decision making skills. NCPCV has teamed up with Christopher Newport Universityís men's Varsity Basketball team to provide 5th Quarter at Crittenden, Achievable Dream, and Passage middle schools in Newport News, Virginia and is looking to expand its outreach.
