Former Cop Addresses Problem of Gang Violence - By John Ostapkovich - Philadelphia (CBS)

(Saturday) from 2pm -4pm, Barnes and Noble on Jefferson
Avenue in Newport News, VA will be featuring a book signing by local authors
Bobby Kipper and Bud Ramey, for their recent best seller, No COLORS: 100
Ways to Stop Gangs from Taking Our Communities. Please stop by and
pick up your copy of No Colors and have Bobby and Bud sign it.
May 15th
(Tuesday) the Georgia Juvenile Court Conference will be
hosting preventing violence workshops, on Jekyll Island. Bobby Kipper,
Director of NCPCV will be the keynote speaker. He will be discussing his
latest book: No COLORS: 100 Ways To Stop Gangs From Taking Away Our
Communities as well as hosting workshops thought the afternoon for over 100
judges across the State of Georgia. Bobby Kipper is well-known across the
country for his strong stand on preventing community violence before it
happens.
May 4th
(Friday) the IACP Headquarters in Alexandria, VA will be
hosting a small working group to discuss Youth Focused Policing information
for police operations and Bobby Kipper, Director of NCPCV will be sitting on
the panel with experts from across the country. They will be discussing how
police will interact and deal with youth both nationally and
internationally, which is a great opportunity for NCPCV to participate in
this focus group.
